So when you’re getting ready for your vacation, or even if you’re just sitting out the heat at home, here’s a list of recommendations to suit you whether your tastes run towards vampires, cowboys or the guy next door.
Story of O by Pauline Reage was my first introduction to erotica over 20 years ago. And I still keep it in my nightstand drawer. This novel tells the tale of O, a Parisian fashion photographer, as she is indoctrinated in to the world of submission by her boyfriend.
The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty by Anne Rice is the first in a trilogy that is loosely based on the Sleeping Beauty fairy tale. Set in a medieval fantasy world, the story revolves around Beauty who is awakened from a long sleep by the Prince. Not with a kiss but with sex.
When You Dare by Lori Foster features Molly, a bestselling author, who hires Dare, a professional mercenary, to help her track down the person who kidnapped her. Sexy romance and a good story!
The Long Hard Ride by Lorelei James is the first in a series that combines bondage, menage a trois and cowboys. Sounds perfect for a summer vacation read, especially if you’re going to a dude ranch.
Orgasmic: Erotica for Women edited by Rachel Kramer Bussel is a collection of erotic short stories. Because sometimes a book is just too long when all you want is 15 minutes of fun.
