Exercises We Love: Balancing On One Leg

Flamingo stretching its legGreat balance is a key way to stay healthy throughout your life. This easy exercise for improving balance can also help you strengthen your knees.

How it works:

Lift one leg toward your butt as far as you can reach and stand on the other for as long as you can, as steady as you can.

Switch legs and repeat. Do this a few times a day, up to 5 minutes each time.

Try the same exercise with your eyes closed.
