We’ve had a cold snap here in South Florida. Though, obviously, it doesn’t compare to what’s been going on in the rest of the country. But I’ve found my lips getting a little chapped. And I’ve been reaching into my jar of coconut oil more frequently than usual. And it helps. But when I’m out and about, I don’t always want to smell like a piña colada plus I need some SPF on my lips.
Lip balms aren’t expensive, so I keep one in my bathroom, one in my purse and one in my catch-all kitchen drawer, next to those keys that must unlock something magical because I haven’t used them in years.
Here are some of my favorites:
Alba Botanica Very Emollient Lip Care Sunscreen: With an SPF of 25 and a large dose of Vitamin E, this is a very moisturizing balm.
B. Kamins Lip Balm: Not only protects lips from sun damage with an SPF of 20 but also helps heals those that are already chapped.
Intelligent Nutrients Lip Delivery Nutrition Organic: This lip balm is very hydrating and uses food-grade ingredients. It goes on very smoothly.
