Smile Lines

DVFOn the heels of all the bitchy internet discussion about whether 45-year-old actress Renee Zellweger has had plastic surgery, here’s a quote to consider from another aging beauty:

“There is a saying that with age, you look outside what you are inside. If you are someone who never smiles your face gets saggy. If you’re a person who smiles a lot, you will have more smile lines. Your wrinkles reflect the roads you have taken; they form the map of your life.” —Diane von Furstenberg, The Woman I Wanted to Be, October 2014

  1. It’s true. Women actually carry the weight of who we are more obviously as we age. This is not a bad thing however, women can actually become even more attractive as our inner beauty starts to come through. I actually asked some teen boys who they thought the most beautiful woman in the world was. They said their grandma. Ahhh, it was so sweet, but what they see is not her wrinkles, but rather the love she has for them.
